Storrington Scouts have been invited to join us for this work party supporting the National Trust maintain this rare heathland habitat.

Tools, gloves and refreshments provided.
All welcome. Under 18s accompanied.

Coppicing Training at Sandgate Park 10am-3pm

Training offered to Sandgate volunteers by Lost Woods, covering history and practice of coppicing and how it supports wildlife and biodiversity.

Sandgate Park woods 10:00 – 12:00
Removing invasive rhododendron along the streams and burning off cuttings at fire site used in January when we had the Cubs helping us.
Last fire of the season due to bird nesting.
Meet by the benches at the heather mound near Sandgate Lane entrance to the woods, opposite the twitten from Hillside Road.
Tools, gloves and refreshments provided.
All welcome. Under 18s accompanied.
