Subscriptions are due on 1st April. This year (2020) we asked people to hold off paying by cash and cheque due to the Covid-19 restrictions but now we are asking members who have not paid to now do so.
Please pay as soon as possible. Paying promptly helps keep the Society’s costs to a minimum by reducing avoidable expenses.
The best way to pay is by Standing Order or, even easier, by Internet banking. If you send a new Standing Order to your bank or pay by Internet banking please let the Secretary know

Annual General Meeting
Covid-19 precautions have led to a change in the arrangements for our AGM this year. Our next AGM will be held on Wednesday 26th August 2020 at 7.30pm by video conference. The meeting shall receive the annual report from the Chair and the statement of accounts from the Treasurer. There will not be any election of trustees due to the exclusion of members not able to attend on-line. Current trustees who are willing to do so will continue to serve as committee members until such a time an election of trustees can be held. Members wishing to attend the on-line meeting should contact the Society.
The committee has the power under the Constitution to co-opt members onto the committee to fill a vacancy. One trustee has resigned and the committee is always keen to welcome new committee members. Should any member be interested in becoming a trustee please contact the Society. Please note persons may be disqualified from holding the post of charity trustee for certain reasons. Constitution (Governing Document)
An updated Constitution document was presented to the membership for adoption at the AGM on 24th May 2017. This updated Constitution had been accepted by the trustees and approved by the Charity Commission and the TCV (The Conservation Volunteers – previously the BTCV). The membership present at the AGM approved the updated Constitution document. The Constitution document can be found here.
The annual newsletter is usually delivered to members in April. This year delivery was delayed until late July / early August. If you have not received your newsletter for 2020 please let the Secretary know.
