Come along and help take care of this Site of Special Scientific Interest.

We have no details of the planned work for this Saturday but it is likely to be scrub clearance to and maybe the blocking of desire lines (unauthorised paths made by people across the areas of habitat or onto the archaeology).

Please wear appropriate clothing – long sleeves and trousers to protect arms and legs from the spiky vegetation would be a good idea – you may also want to consider some eye protection.  The wearing of sturdy shoes is also recommended. Also bring some refreshments for the mid-morning break.

Any necessary tools will be provided but it is recommended that you bring your own gloves.
We will be led by Chloe from the National Trust.
Start time is 09:30 – please be prompt.
Look for the NT vehicle parked on The Green near the coin cairn at the end of  Green that has the Bronze Age barrow with the bench on top.  The approximate what3words location will be ///leaky.firms.treaty
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult unless by prior arrangement.
Please check the Sandgate Conservation Society Facebook page and/or website in case of any last minute cancellation.
Finish at 12 noon.
