Come and help take care of this Local Wildlife Site. Please note that Sandgate Park refers to the area owned and managed by Horsham District Council, not the area of park that overlooks the quarry and is owned by CEMEX.
We start at 10:00am and work until midday, though you are free to leave whenever you want.
Tools and gloves will be provided, though feel free to bring your own gloves if you prefer.
We take a break at around 11:00 am. We suggest that you bring some refreshments – a drink and maybe a snack.
Meet at the bench opposite the heather mound which is on the path from the entrance on Sandgate Lane, a little way up from the first two houses on Sandgate Lane and opposite the twitten that runs between Sandgate Lane and Hillside Road. Please be punctual because if we are working at a location away from the heather mound you may find it difficult to find us if we have moved to that location.
All are welcome – you do not need to be a member of Sandgate Conservation Society, though if not we will likely encourage you to join.
Persons under 18 years old should be accompanied by an adult for safeguarding reasons
