Local resident and chair of the Sussex Wildlife Trust Storrington and Arun Valley Regional Group will talk about the creation of a wildflower meadow by her and her husband at their home on the outskirts of Storrington. While their plot of land is relatively large similar techniques would apply for smaller sites which would also deliver benefits to pollinating and other insects and the other animals that feed on them including birds and bats, and hedgehogs which are now threatened with extinction within Britain, as well as providing interest and giving joy to people.
Entry is just £2 for Sandgate Conservation Society members and £4 for non-members – pay at the door.
Please arrive in good time to take your seat so that the talk can begin promptly at 7:30pm.
Sarah would welcome questions and observations from members of the audience especially those who have themselves created a wildflower meadow and/or have some expertise on the subject.
